The Rules
- Whatever happens between your characters is between the characters, not the people playing them. If someone has a character that is meant to be rude don't take it personally. I've seen too much drama surrounding this subject before. If it is a personal attack, then let an admin know about it, don't continue the argument.
- I'm not strict on how much you type while rping, but for your own good I would say nothing less than four sentences. It's actually really hard to respond to two sentences and you'll likely get ignored. Nothing personal, but we all need something to work with.
- Take into consideration how others will feel about what you say and do. Don't post links to violent or pornographic sites... There might be a time for the former, but I don't want to see any porn at all.
- Swearing is alright, seeing as it does happen in the real world. As is violence, drug and alcohol use, and even sex if you make sure there is a warning on the thread. This is meant to be a corrupt place, so if you are against these things make sure that the specific people you are rping with know first.
- If you are saying something out of character in an rp post, it is best to put (( )) around it. That way no one gets the wrong idea.
- If you are a therapist it's best to be active here. That way the patients aren't stuck waiting on someone to help their mental state!
- You can have as many characters as you want within reason. If you don't think that you can handle more than one then don't make more. You're expected to be active with any that are currently in a thread, though I understand that there won't always be a place for them at first.
- No controlling each others' characters. No saying that you hit someone without their permission, no saying that they spoke words or did an action. Even saying that someone is there that doesn't want to be takes away any control that the person has over their own character.
- If you aren't going to be active then make sure that you post it in the appropriate section.
- Make seperate accounts for each character that you make! Also, put the gender and birthday of the character that you are making on the account rather than your own. The display name should be the first and last name of the character.
- No killing without getting permission from an admin. This includes people that are not being played. Random guards included here. I highly doubt that the patients would get a hold of things that often.
- Be logical. Although there are fantasy elements here (mostly psychological 'gifts') we still can't have everyone resistant to everything. I want good reasons in your application if the character will be difficult to sedate or difficult to hold in straps. This could happen... if your character is a huge bulky guy.
- No one's character is really superior to another. Most people don't like to hear about how their characters can't defeat another because of some skill the other has. Everyone should be given a fair chance no matter what.
- No access to the Basement without Lexy's permission. No other admin or moderator can allow you access there, even with passwords. I'll delete any posts made there without my permission and warn those responsible.
- To Moderators and Admins: Any changes to the boards and categories, also get my permission. The main reason is that it does affect things, both that I am planning and the way that the site is run. Best example: one of the admins changed the name of the leaving section, but on the rules it still had the original name. So yes, remember to contact me. [/ul]
